New Flat in Valencia 2

hello again,
Ok so here is the building from the outside, our street and then a lovely garden just a 30 minute walk away.
At the end of the street you have the old river Turia - which is now all park area. There is alsorts down there. Its amazing. You could walk for over an hour in both directions and it is full of things for the kids to do, running tracks, tennis courts, fountains, exhibition halls, the Palce of Music etc etc. I walked for half an hour towards the beaches and I arrived at the famous hemispheric buldings and many other notable modern architectural delights, including this covered garden. This of you who have visited the olympic stadium in Athens (pictures somewhere on this blog) will notice that the arches in this garden are very similar to the arches there in Athens. Thats because they are both works of the same architect (or so says Jose).
Valencia has so much to offer and we are so excited about moving there. The new flat couldn't be in a better position. I can be in Corte Ingles and all the other lovely shops in five minutes on foot, or in the Turia gardens in a similar time. Jose can walk to work in 2 minutes. The train station for the Euromed to Barcelona, Alicante or Madrid is ten minutes walk away. The airport is a 20 minute drive away, the beaches 10 minutes in the car and the best bit is that it seems that our road in particular has a plethora of interesting restaurants. The area in general seems to be the cool bar and restuarant area. If I were to liken the feel of the area to an area in London I'd say Primrose Hill -because its very residential with no commercial shops (but with those five mins away like in Camden) but with restaurants, bars and little private shops dotted around and lots of accesible green areas. You will all find out when you come and visit me! Give me time to buy some beds though. We are moving down there with no furniture at all - not even one bed. Thats because we are renting out the barca flat as a fully furnished flat, and starting again in Valencia. So, it will be a little awkward for the first couple of months.
Right I'd better get one with my snagging list for the owners!
S xx
